Code of Ethics

Association members subscribe to the following Code of Ethics:

  • To strive for adherence to proper wildlife management principles for sustaining big game harvests and populations.

  • To strive for measurable, meaningful, and achievable private land wildlife management objectives that are comparable with the carrying capacity of the surrounding cooperative wildlife management unit.

  • To adhere to State and Federal rules and regulations regarding cooperative wildlife management.

  • To promote fair chase, proper care of harvested animals, and humane treatment of wildlife.

  • To strive for fair treatment of all landowners, hunters and others who participate in Utah's Cooperative Wildlife Management Program.

  • To be a positive example of resource stewardship.

  • To recognize and promote the importance of private landowners, private lands, and Utah hunters to the conservation and management of wildlife resources and the preservation of Utah's open spaces.
